Martin Energy Group Hiring for Staff Accountant Job at Tipton, MO Full Time

Basic Job Function:

Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

· Sales and Use tax processing

· Credit and Collections

· Account reconciliations

· State Registrations

Primary Duties:

· Ensure proper filing of all sales and use tax forms for each company and state each month.

· Register businesses in new states and maintain the existing registrations.

· Maintain/balance/reconcile general ledger accounts at the end of each month.

· Research customer accounts, send statements and collect past due accounts.

· Be proactive to any procedure or process improvements that could improve company productivity and effectiveness.

· Some clerical duties

· Ensure good communications to other departments.

· Other duties as assigned by this person’s manager/director.

Knowledge/Experience Requirements:

· Knowledge of accounting principles.

· Knowledge of automated accounting systems and processes.

· Proficient in MS office products

· Good communication a must

· Must be self-starter driven to succeed

Education Requirements:

· College Degree in accounting or business preferred, but we will consider equivalent experience.

This job requires you to work full-time in our office located in Tipton, MO. This is not a remote position.

Pay: $50,000 – $65,000 annually

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 – $65,000.00 per year
