Martin Donnelly Pty Ltd is looking for a Financial Controller to join our growing business.

About the business

We are a locally owned, growing electrical contracting company, servicing Canberra and surrounds for over 20 years.

Our business works across the ACT with some of the territory’s largest construction companies in such areas as commercial, health, education, and defence.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Managing the accounting and finance departments
• MYOB reporting and management of accounts
• Preparation of accurate financial statements and annual reports
• Manage the budgeting and forecasting process
• Reporting to and supporting the directors
• Preparation of BAS
• End of month reconciliations
• Interaction with the company accountant

What we are looking for is a strong team player, who is proactive in generating team engagement and increasing collaboration within the team. Must have the ability to be flexible, adaptable and comfortable in a fast-paced environment

• Accounting experience
• Ability to motivate and lead teams
• Advanced computer software skills
• Extensive knowledge of MYOB
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Experience creating financial statements and cash flow management
• Business/Account Degree – preferred but not required

Salary TBA based on experience

Working time Monday to Friday 9.00am to 3.00pm flexible/part time

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Salary: $120,000.00 – $150,000.00 per year
