Marshall & Sterling Inc Hiring for Account Manager Full Time

This position is located in our Downstate Region (Poughkeepsie, Kingston, Middletown)

Manage designated book of business by providing a high level of support in obtaining, maintaining, expanding and servicing clients.

• Handle all existing renewals completely
• Negotiate with carriers along with Management on new business and renewal submission
• Send renewal proposals and review with clients
• Introduce loss control services and risk management reviews
• Service Timelines
• Coverage Evaluation of client’s account
• Retain current book of business
• Attend on-site meetings
• Support all team projects and priorities as determined by Management.
• Ability to multi-task and work with varying issues and changing priorities
• Set culture of service and cooperative effort when dealing directly with clients and addressing their sometimes challenging issues
• Resolve issues arising from service calls from clients
• Assist in contract reviews with clients
• Direct communications with clients and carriers
• Partner with Producer to establish the client service plan
• Special projects arising from client needs
• Refer new lines of coverage to existing clients, i.e., personal lines, benefits, wealth management
• Keep current with new products, changes in legislation and communicate any market changes to team members
• Assume other job responsibilities as assigned by manager

Requirements:

• Education requirement; college degree preferred. High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Knowledge of computer systems and operations is required
• Good listening skills and attention to detail are important
• Knowledge of commercial insurance and products is essential
• Property and Casualty Licensed
