Marsh Hiring for Senior Operations Executive at Docklands, Victoria, Australia Full Time

Role Summary:

Provide invoicing to Client Facing Brokers including technical support through the accurate, efficient and timely production of most complex invoices, closing and related documentation. Role will demonstrate increased technical proficiency (with the ability to answer questions on transactional questions), leadership skills, peer level coaching, issue resolution, and work allocation and training.

Needs to have an understanding of third-party systems, coaching, 1st tier issue resolution, process improvement leader and workflow management. Will execute same tasks as Operations Executives/Client Service Specialists colleagues when necessary. Role will additionally demonstrate increased technical proficiency and provide peer level mentoring to Operations Executives/Client Service Specialists colleagues.

Job Responsibilities:

Invoicing and Documentation

Ensure timely and accurate production/processing of:

• Invoices and related documentation.
• Premium and adjustment calculations.
• Up to date computer system records.
• Technical support on complex invoicing.
• Any other documentation as required.

Quality Invoicing

Ensure timely and accurate production/processing of:

• Follow outlined process for client / business value stream.
• Follow all instructions supplied by broker.
• Ensure all information supplied by broker for correct invoicing.
• Sending invoice / closing to correct parties once approved according to process.

Workflow Administration

• Contribute to the achievement of Marsh Client Operations team Service Level Agreements (SLA), Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and business objectives.
• Manage and prioritise own workload to meet individual SLA, KPI and Quality targets.
• Processing of complex transactions and resolution of escalated matters within SLA.
• Perform “step up” Team Leader duties on an ad-hoc basis to support Operations team.
• Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) support to business stakeholders and participate in group and business unit lead initiatives.
• Provide training, assist with queries from wider MCO team and the business.
• Support the wider MCO team with workloads, tasks as and when required.

Customer Awareness

• Maintain a basic understanding of the core aspects of relevant Insurance and related legislation.
• Work with MCO Team Leader to identify continuous improvement opportunities with operational process.
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• General servicing skills and etiquette.

Compliance

• Adhere strictly to the Company’s Quality practices and other systems and procedures.
• Comply fully with the Company’s Errors and Omissions avoidance policy.
• Comply with company policy for continuous professional development.
• Possess a understanding of all aspects of the Insurance (Agents & Brokers) Act, Insurance Contracts Act, Fire Services Levy, Stamp Duties, and other relevant legislation.

• You will be required to pick up other tasks outside your duties as and when required as requested by your manager.

What you need to have:

• University degree, diploma and/or equivalent work experience.
• 2-3 years previous work experience with 1-2 years previous insurance or financial services experience preferred.
• Ability to interface with colleagues at all levels within the organisation.
• Clear and concise oral and written communication skills.
• Strong numerical skills.
• Excellent organisation skills – able to prioritise work and meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal skills – able to work within a team.
• Comfortable and experience working with technology (solutions).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (or equivalent) – Outlook, Word and Excel.
• Insurance knowledge.
• Relevant industry practice or Line of Business experience.
• Insurance market, clients and claims management skills related to area of expertise.
• Strong leadership qualities, networking skills & problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to handle complex and difficult tasks.
• Ability to train and assist in development of MCO Operations Specialists.
• Use initiative and contribute ideas and solutions for improvement.
