MARS Hiring for Education & Training Lead Job at King’s Lynn, England Full Time

The Education & Training (E&T) Lead is responsible for the competency development program on site. They will work closely with other Mars Supply Excellence (MSE) pillar leaders to identify main gaps in capability. The role of the E&T Pillar is to deploy, manage and continuously improve a system of learning and development that build the capabilities required for our plants to deliver against their business strategies, ensuring we have the right talent for today and the future.

What are we looking for?

• Education & Professional Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management or equivalent experience
• Knowledge/Experience
• Basic TPM knowledge and detailed knowledge in Autonomous Maintenance and Progressive Maintenance, Focused Improvement & FMOS
• Technical background helpful but not necessarily required
• Background in effective teaching and coaching preferred
• Strong affinity to working with people and in diverse teams

What will be your key responsibilities?

• Define, manage and improve site training and systems (Request, execution, follow up) including compliance to standards and legislation
• Develop and manage the site skill matrices ensuring appropriate flexibility is achieved and engagement is maximised
• Develop new starter induction programs to deliver relevant skills efficiently and effectively for Supply associates (and basic site induction for other departments) working in partnership with key stakeholders.
• Link skills and competency through to losses and requirements tactically (in collaboration with the OPS Manager, Technical Manager and Factory Improvement Manager). As an illustration, he /she will ensure competencies and capabilities within the teams are in line with job requirements through individual coaching, LMs and delivery of some training.
• Take ownership for training champions ensuring all are accredited through an effective train the trainer course
• Ensure effective KPIs are tracked and worked upon (training hours per associate, skill gaps etc)
• Link in with MSE pillar leads to ensure they are supported effectively in building the required capabilities
• Ensure training facilities are effective and adequate ensuring they are available for both on the job and off the job training and have all the correct and adequate materials in place
• Is the main contact for audit training compliance
