JOB SUMMARY
As a Learning & Development Manager, and part of the Human Resources Team – you will lead on and drive all training and development activities within the hotel. This role will also ensure all company programs and resources, such as Orientation, Marriott Core Training, Digital Learning Zone etc and any other L&D Marriott programs or platforms that launch, are utilised and delivered effectively and in a timely manner and fully maximized for the benefit of all eligible associate audiences. The role will also involve creating and delivering an annual learning and development plan, with weekly/monthly/quarterly activities to meet the training needs of all departments across the hotel – whether that be technical expertise training (for example, use of a Marriott system such as Opera) or competency development programs. To support total training deployment – the L&D Manager will create an in-house cadre of departmental trainers to partner with and instruct on all learning and development needs as required. Ensuring all departments remain compliant by focusing on reviewing training and running compliance reports will be important for success.

CANDIDATE PROFILE
Education and Experience
Previous learning and development experience is an advantage
Previous hotel operations or administrative experience is preferred
Previous Human Resources experience and CIPD qualified is preferred
Degree or Higher Education Qualification from an accredited university in Hospitality Management, Human Resources, Business Administration, or related subject
Experience in operations (such as Front Desk), Human Resources or Learning/Training
Particular strong communication skills (verbal, listening, writing), with enhanced presentation skills required, and experience of presenting to audiences of all sizes.
Previous user of computer systems such as Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and specialised systems e.g. Opera etc.
Excellent typing speed and accuracy of spelling and grammar, layout and content formation essential.
Highly organized and efficient approach required
Ability to manage varying needs and prioritizing to ensure best business results
