Mark Andy Inc Hiring for Shipping Clerk at Earth City, MO Full Time

Mark Andy is looking for a Shipping Clerk to join our Earth City team! THIS POSITION WILL BE AT OUR CHESTERFIELD LOCATION FOR AROUND 3 MONTHS THEN TRANSITIONING TO EARTH CITY! As a Shipping Clerk, you will have a range of responsibilities including shipping and receiving, and other warehouse duties as needed.

Qualifications/Skills Required

• Performs the physical or administrative tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment.
• Unpacks and checks received goods against purchase orders or invoices; maintains records of received goods and rejects unsatisfactory items.
• Unloads and loads trailer shipments.
• Performs computer data entry tasks.
• Lifts heavy items and may operate forklift/ reach trucks.
• Prepares and maintains records of shipped merchandise.
• Performs daily cycle counts.
• Examines, stocks, and distributes materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
• Prepares goods for final shipment.
• Prepares HAZMAT shipments according to shipping standards and regulations.
• Prepares, packages and ships all UK, Poland and Ocean shipments as needed.
• May prepare kitting packages for assembly production.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities

• Basic computer skills.
• High attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with little direction.
• Forklift/ Reach truck operation experience a plus, but not required.

Personal Skills Required

• Interact with others.
• Deal with interpersonal conflicts.
• Work in an office/manufacturing environment.

Physical Demands

• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl and move about facility and/or customer’s facilities. Frequent lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Moderate to frequent exposure to shop environment; may be exposed to dust, odors, oils, fumes, chemicals, noise and moving parts. Work typically requires the usage of PPE and can require work on the facility’s production floor or customer’s production environment.
