Production Worker/Labourer
Maritime Paper Products, a leading manufacturer of corrugated containers with multiple locations in the Atlantic Provinces, is accepting applications for the position of Production Worker/Labourer for our Dartmouth, Nova Scotia location.
The successful candidate should be dependable, energetic, have a positive attitude, and be willing and able to advance within the production process up to the machine operator level. Applicants must be dedicated to providing optimum customer service and quality product, and be comfortable working as part of a team.
Starting wage: $18.46 per hour (plus shift premium, if applicable). Following a 70 day probationary period the wage increases to $21.43.
This position requires rotating shift work in a unionized work environment.
Qualifications:
Applicants should have the following:
High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Ability to learn to operate a variety of production equipment in a safe and responsible manner
Previous experience working rotating shifts
Any manufacturing related trades training would be an asset
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures
Commitment to quality and safety
Ability to work as part of a team
