Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field and/or equivalent education, experience, and training.
Minimum 5+ years of progressive hands-on technical experience in IT infrastructure – architecture, systems administration, routing / switching, network design, database systems, virtualization, storage area networks, data center management, O365 and cloud services, etc.
Essential Functions:
Delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels of availability, performance, and security
Monitor and report on the systems, storage, and backup infrastructure KPIs and SLAs
Collaborate with other leaders to optimize and improve system performance, functionality, and availability
Works with the IT team on the service portfolio and governance required to prioritize resources, including budget.
Ensure systems security, and protect information from accidental or deliberate loss
Develop a well-trained staff. Supervise the team to include selection, training and development, coaching, counseling, and performance management
Identify and manage risks from disaster events to acceptable levels, and monitor and report on ability of organization to achieve disaster recovery SLAs
Ensure non-interruptible service to all data center critical systems
Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and to meet required SLAs
Prepare and maintain up-to-date documentation detailing the configuration of deployed solutions
Disaster recovery and business continuity
Develop and enhance recovery strategies to reduce recovery times for critical services and overall recovery times following loss of a data center or site location
Vendor relationship management

z/OS, z/VM, KVM, VMWare, Hyper V, Windows 10, LDAP, Oracle, MySQL, MSSQL, and other relational DBs, IBM HMC and LPAR technologies, orchestration technologies including OCP & ICIC.

As Director of Infrastructure you will lead the design, implementation and continuous process improvement of the enterprise hardware infrastructure and data centers. Hybrid-Remote Eligible: This position is located in Poughkeepsie, New York and is hybrid-remote eligible with periodic on-campus work at the supervisor’s discretion.
Relocation: It is College policy to reimburse eligible newly hired full-time administrative staff members for reasonable expenses incurred in relocating to the area. To be eligible for reimbursement, new employees must move a minimum of 50 miles from their present home; must move within the first year of hire. Generally, the College will reimburse eligible moving and relocating expenses up to $7,000.

The Director of Infrastructure position includes a competitive salary and comprehensive benefit package*. Benefits for this position include but are not limited to the following:

Tuition Benefits:
