We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Manager to join our team on a full time basis based out of our support office in the Melbourne CBD.

Main responsibilities of the role:

• End-to-end management of accounts receivable function
• Develop and maintain procedures to support the accounts receivable function and the billing procedure manual
• Ensure efficient and consistent running of all client accounts (Medicare, Private Health Insurance, Uninsured and Third Party)
• Ensure all billings and receipts are reflected accurately on the patient management system – CareRight
• Management of the month-end closing process on CareRight, end of day banking process across the clinic network, all Medicare claiming processes, Private Health Insurance claiming process and all health fund gap schemes
• Act as first point of contact for the Clinic Administration Team regarding billing and debtor management
• Managing all health fund contract fees, contracted and non-contracted health services billings and billing and debtor management queries
• Proactively track debtors and prepare dashboards and detailed reporting for relevant stakeholders (Clinic Administration Team, Finance Team, Executive Team) on a weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual basis including insight on debtor issues/ key drivers at clinic level
• Collaborate with Clinic Administration Team to resolve ongoing debtor management issues
• Management of the patient refund process
• Manage patient billing complaints along with Clinic Administration Team and Risk and Safety team

What we look for in a candidate:

• Fiercely Pro-choice and champion of women and pregnant people’s rights
• Experience achieving high standards with a focus on continuous improvement
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in patient account management in a fast-paced billings function
• Experience in Accounts Receivable administration including billing and collections
• Experience in billing Medicare and Private Health – previous experience in a healthcare setting
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Tertiary qualified in Accounting/ Finance or equivalent
