Job Description

As a part of a diverse community of faculty and staff who represent
many faith systems and worldviews, Marian University seeks a
full-time Coordinator of Special Projects. Working closely with the
Director of Special Projects and the Dean of the Fred S. Klipsch
Educators College, the Coordinator promotes Marian University’s
Catholic Franciscan mission and identity by providing
administrative and operational support to the department,
specifically working to develop partnerships with Indiana high
schools to foster the growth of Cadet Teaching programs.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Actively engage the Catholic Franciscan mission and identity of
  Marian University’s by modeling the Franciscan Sponsorship Values,
  honoring the legacy of the founding congregation, promoting unity
  in diversity, and integrating the Catholic Franciscan intellectual
  traditions in courses, programs, and services.
• Manage communications and data from the current schools
  enrolled in the Central Indiana Cadet Teaching Network and assist
  the Director in building capacity to support more members in the
  Network
• Develop a multi-phase strategy to expand the Network to 25+
  schools by the 2024- 2025 academic year. Act as liaison between
  Marian University and these area schools to promote the teaching
  profession and the Education Careers Pathway.
• Collect and compile data on progress of the program, and
  facilitate communications with the Indiana Department of Education
  for grant reporting.
• Assist Director in marketing and promoting the teaching
  profession at local high schools and Ivy Tech campuses throughout
  the state.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Required Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• Knowledge of and commitment to the mission of Marian
  University.
• Bachelor of Arts in education or a related field.
• Ability to write concisely and professionally
• Proven track record for managing projects and tight deadlines
  and budgets.
• Strong strategic thinking and creative skills.
• Understanding of Career Technology Education and the Next Level
  Programs of Study as an element of Indiana high school graduation
  requirements.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Previous experience in a secondary education setting is
  preferred.
