The Role

This position will be responsible for the full spectrum of AR and GL for the assigned portfolio in accordance with statutory requirements, company policies and procedures.

Job Responsibilities

• Responsible for all operational, transactional, accounting and reporting needs for asset portfolio to comply to Group requirements.
• Ownership of month, quarter and financial close process including accruals, journal entries, management reports, monthly schedules and variance analysis.
• Work closely with external auditors, including preparation of audit schedules and annual statutory financial statements.
• Perform review of property management reports provided by the external property manager, highlighting, addressing and resolving issues that arise from the review.
• Manage all tax matters including liaison with tax agents and trustees on BAS and tax reporting with ATO.
• Preparation of quarterly distribution calculations and annual reconciliations for assets portfolio.
• Good understanding and experience of working with inter-company transactions and reconciliations with Head Office.
• Perform credit review analysis of vendors, consultants and customers in accordance to Group Policy.
• Other duties also include involvement in budgeting and forecasting process and cash flow monitoring.
• Participate in rolling out process and control improvements.
• Other ad hoc finance/accounting tasks assigned to meet needs of organisation.

Job Requirements

• Degree in Accountancy, CA/CPA/ACCA or its equivalent qualification with strong working knowledge of local accounting standards.
• Proven track record in a financial accounting role with minimum of 3 to 5 years relevant hands-on AR and GL experience.
• Proficient in MS Excel.
• Experience with SAP system and/or property industry knowledge would be advantageous.
• Ability to work across multiple internal and external stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Responsible, meticulous, analytical, organised and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
