Maple Dale Cheese Hiring for Quality Control Technician at Plainfield, ON Full Time

The Quality Assurance/ BRC Expert will work closely with Production Supervisors and the Management team to ensure the food safety and quality systems are in control, fully compliant and challenged for continuous improvement.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1. Ensure compliance with BRC Global Standard, HACCP, Safe Food for Canadians and other relative legislation. This includes developing documentation, implementation of system elements.

2. Scheduling and coordinating activities related to food safety and quality objectives, internal audits, validation trials and mock recalls.

3. Managing the facilities environmental monitoring program. This includes coordinating supplies, scheduling tasks within the QA Department as well as participating in the collection of swabs/ samples for third party analysis

4. Perform data trends analysis using statistical tools; report finding to the senior management team.

5. On-going maintenance of internal registers and logs.

6. Prepare and actively participates in internal and third-party audits. Assist in follow up of corrective actions from the audit findings

7. Maintain professional interaction with auditors, regulatory agencies, vendors and customers.

8. Other quality assurance duties as assigned

Qualifications and Requirements:

· Relevant work experience (3-5 years) in food manufacturing environment (dairy being an asset)

· Experience with GFSI (BRC) requirements and needs. BRC professional certification would be considered an asset

· Experience in the design and development of Quality Systems.

· Proven ability to integrate people, resources and systems.

· Excellent knowledge of Canadian Food Regulations

· Excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills

· Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

· Skilled in MS Applications: Excel and Word
