Analytics, solution coding, data modelling, system analysis, and generation (likley technolgies include Cognos, Qlik, and SAS)

Purpose

This role is for supporting the production of credible, robust, justifiable, and accurate information through designing data modelling processes, creating algorithms and predT&Iive or forecasting models and develops, tests, and validates hypotheses through the application of a range of advanced mathematical, statistical, scientific and / or computational techniques. Specific techniques may include probability models, machine learning, data mining, pattern recognition, data visualization, predT&Iive analytics, data warehousing, artificial intelligence and / or other complex methods.

Key Responsibilities

•   Producing credible, robust, justifiable, and accurate information in the form of predT&Iive models for strategic and operational purposes through developing new tools and methods to extract the information the organization requires to solve problems

•   Uses existing tools and models to analyses multiple and comparatively large and unstructured data sources

•   Prepares and presents interpretation of findings to internal and / or external stakeholders

•   Support client’s network and business planning through the production of accurate forecasts and other associated activities, including:

            – Competent use and maintenance of software scripts to produce robust data forecasts and statistical analyses that integrate the processing and analysis (e.g. demand & energy forecast data sets) at feeder, zone substation, and network levels

            – Manage a process for the collation, storage and updating of forecasting information including external data sets received from agencies and consultants, structure plans, land use planning information and residential, commercial, and industrial development activity

            – Production of geo-spatial load forecasts and other data for regions across the SWIS based on structure plans and other land use planning information

•   Liaising and collaborating with internal and external providers of forward-looking forecasting data to collect and share credible information

• •   Provide best practice outcomes in data analytics for client’s internal customers
