Job Description
The opportunity
Working with the People Analytics Lead, the data analyst will apply expertise in quantitative methods, statistics, data modelling and visualization to generate insights. Focused attention will be on hypothesis exploration and answering business questions that drive better people and business outcomes.
You ensure that what’s happening to people at work is always connected to its impact on business results. Rather than answering inquiries like “what does turnover look like in our organization?”, you support exploring questions like “is the rate of turnover impacting revenue, customer satisfaction, or engagement?”
Responsibilities
Support the People Analytics Lead in all insight generation work, by applying expertise in quantitative analysis, statistics, data visualization and data modelling to see beyond the numbers and to advise people and business decisions.
Act as an internal advisor by understanding business needs, scoping data requests, synthesizing insights, and recommending solutions to our clients in collaboration with other members of the people analytics team and our partners.
Present data, insights, research, and recommendations as a (visually) compelling story – a data translator.
Prototype predictive models using sophisticated analytical techniques and engage with the Advanced Analytics and Technology teams to implement at scale.
What motivates you?
You obsess about customers, listen, engage and act for their benefit.
You think big, with curiosity to discover ways to use your agile approach and enable business outcomes.
You thrive in teams and enjoy getting things done together.
You take ownership and build solutions, focusing on what matters.
You do what is right, work with integrity and speak up.
You share your humanity, helping us build a diverse and inclusive work environment for everyone.
What we are looking for
1-3 years of experience in working in a data analytics role or equivalent analytics experience
Proficient in MS Excel and Power BI (required)
Familiarity with statistical methods (required)
Coding in Python or R (preferred)
Experience or familiarity with machine learning techniques such as linear regression, logistic regression, decision trees, etc.
Experience with data modelling and data visualization
Outstanding analytical skills and the ability to mine and interpret data to identify high level trends specifically working with people data (engagement, turnover, diversity, etc.)
Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical partners.
You have experience working with highly confidential data and ensuring regulatory, policies and records management requirements.
What can we offer you?
A competitive salary and benefits packages.
A growth trajectory that extends upward and outward, encouraging you to follow your passions and learn new skills.
A focus on growing your career path with us.
Flexible work policies and strong work-life balance.
Professional development and leadership opportunities.
