About EduMentum

EduMentum is an incubator for early-stage education entrepreneurs. The program is supported by Shibulal Family Philanthropic Initiative (SFPI) and operationalized in partnership with Mantra4Change and ShikshaLokam. Our objective is to identify and support young organizations working in the field of systemic education transformation. Our total partner ecosystem is 42 organizations strong, spread across 20 states.

Our belief is that in order to solve the perennial problem of Education inequity in the country, we need to strengthen the civil society actors and build their capabilities to work with the system at scale.

About The Role

The position of Research amp; Design Leadis aimed at understanding the grass-root challenges, learning from research, and designing innovative solutions for the EduMentum related programs/initiatives and partner organizations. This role is most suited for those exploring opportunities in doing primary and/or secondary research and in leading program design.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Research and develop tools to identify needs of partner organizations and other stakeholders
• Design and periodically review program activities, outcomes and indicators
• Evaluate underlying causes for gaps in implementation, collaborate to respond effectively and contribute to customizing program
• Design pilot-ready solutions for problems, challenges, and needs identified through research
• Collaborate with partners for piloting solutions, collecting data on the pilot, and refining solutions based on pilot
• Support partner organizations in designing their program and solutions through co-creation and regular mentorship
• Capture case studies of the impact journey of EduMentum and of our partner organizations
• Generate and collate research articles on systemic transformation, education leadership, decentralized and collective action, and design strategies for dissemination
• Aid in evaluating EduMentum’s initiatives based on primary research data and generate insights in the form of s
• Identify and forge new external partnerships with organizations/people aimed at learning from existing resources
• Participate in meetings, workshops or related forums/events that contribute to development and growth of EduMentum
• Create learning environments and build capacity within the team through shared learning, unconditional support and strong self and peer accountability

Education amp; Experience

A degree in education AND/OR experience teaching in low-income schools or government schools; Prior experience in leading design efforts for education interventions

Competencies: Critical thinking and problem solving , Ability to research, Willingness to learn in the face of uncertainty and difficult situations, Effective planning skills and time-task management

Compensation range:6-8 LPA(This may vary depending on actual experiences of the candidate)
