Manitobah Mukluks is seeking a Manager of Business Intelligence and Applications for our Winnipeg Head Office. As a Manager of Business Intelligence and Applications you will be responsible for the implementation and oversight of the company’s ing and data warehouse solutions as well as the integrations and improvements to the business applications at the company. Responsibilities include:
· Assist in the implementation of new data systems and applications related to data exchange.
· Reverse-engineer front-end interfaces of ERP and other system data sources to find corresponding data tables on back-end.
· Develop new data warehousing and ing techniques to enhance scalability maintenance.
· Coordinate initiatives for current projects, including, identifying, tracking and resolving technical issues for assigned business application systems.
· Contribute to road mapping and mapping of business requirements.
· Build monitoring and alerts/exception ing across all integrations, including but not limited to Shopify, Brightpearl, TopShelf, ShipStation, NuOrder, SPS Commerce, and NRI.
· Manage the internal help desk.
· Improve access to corporate datasets through data extracts, building and BI dashboards and visualizations.
· Build knowledge of business processes with an expectation for recommending systems to help facilitate continuous improvement and scalability of the operation.
· Develop and maintain a global process, policies, guidelines and training for master data create, update and archive activities.
· Lead data profiling and cleansing activities for future acquisitions / data migrations into production environments.
· Perform periodic internal audits of Master to assess data quality trends and identify any apparent issues.
· Actively participating on project teams and helping drive for successful completion.
· Develop key relationships with business leaders and employees at all levels of the organization.
· Develop the IT budget for respective area and participate in re-occurring monthly variance meetings.
Requirements
· Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business Analysis, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
· Minimum 7 years’ experience in a similar role.
· Excellent understanding of the retail industry, web, mobile and eCommerce technologies.
· Experience working in an Agile environment.
· Ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
· Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
· Ability to work and learn independently.
· Ability to learn programming languages quickly.
· Good organizational and documentation skills.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills with Proficiencies in Windows.
· Experience with interactive data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
· Knowledge and understanding of query languages such as: DAX, M-query (Power Query Language), and SQL.
· Experience with Microsoft Office Products including MS Access, Word, Visio, and OneNote.
· Knowledge and experience with VBA, ADO, and/or DAO languages would be useful, but are not required.
