Part of MFT is Saint Mary’s Hospital (SMH). There is currently a vacancy for a Management Accounts Officer in this hospital.
SMH provides a wide range of world-class medical services for women, babies and children. The services include Maternity Services, Gynaecology, the Manchester Centre for Genomic Medicine, Newborn Intensive Care and the Sexual Assault Referral Centre. We’re excited to be recruiting for a passionate and driven Management Accounts Officer to support the Senior Management Accounting Officers, Deputy Financial Management Accountants and Financial Management Accountants maintaining the Trust Directorate budgets. We’re looking for someone dependable to ensure that the budgets for which they are responsible are maintained to a high standard through strong communication with budget holders.
This role will demand strong communication and negotiation skills alongside effective working relationships with staff from all disciplines, providing and receiving complex and confidential financial information. Working with both integrity and the ability to remain confidential are crucial to fulfilling this role.
Professionally, you will be qualified to certificate level, NVQ Level 5, or AAT Member or alternatively have the equivalent in job related knowledge and experience. Understanding both financial management and budgetary management is essential, and what’s more, you’ll have the expertise to co-ordinate the monthly production of income and expenditure budget statements.
As for you personally, you’ll have a detailed understanding of software packages used and the know-how to identify and resolve problems. All in all, you’ll be an effective communicator with the ability to work co-operatively with other members of the team.
