We are looking to recruit an Education Services Officer to join Student Financial Support within our Education Services directorate.
Whilst the successful candidate will be based within Student Financial Support, staff will be requested to work flexibly across the wider directorate, if needed to support other key activities.
The Role
The Student Financial Support Team manages the university hardship fund which aims to help students experiencing financial difficulties. They also offer information and guidance on a wide range of student money issues. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for assessments of ‘Day to Day Support’ which is the main discretionary fund for students. This involves specialist and complex casework and decision making on applications. Candidates will also provide expert, high quality information and guidance to students on statutory and discretionary funding. You will play a key role in supporting and guiding our students through student related money matters, working alongside other specialist services within the University and the Student Union.
