Manatt’s Inc Hiring for Loader Operator at Newton, IA Full Time

Our Newton Asphalt Division is hiring a Loader Operator for their portable plant. This individual will be responsible for charging plant with raw materials for use in producing asphalt. Ideal candidate would have asphalt plant maintenance and operation experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Daily equipment walkaround and site inspection to identify and correct any unsafe conditions.
• General maintenance at batch plant such as shoveling, greasing, and other miscellaneous mechanical duties.
• Safely and properly perform maintenance (lubricating, fueling, and cleaning) on loader.
• Safely and properly operate loader, ensuring bucket/attachments are lowered to ground when not using equipment.
• Identifying appropriate material to produce quality aggregate material per job specifications.
• Communicate with other personnel and make required adjustments to material blends.
• Maintain contaminate free aggregate piles.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to frequently climb up and down to heights to 100 and work in confined spaces.
• Loader or other heavy equipment operating experience required.
• Asphalt plant maintenance experience preferred.
• Ability to work independently.
• Welding/Fabrication experience preferred but not required.
• Valid driver s license necessary with good driving record, CDL preferred.
• Must be able to travel overnight with crews.
