Controls Engineer – Southern IN; 45 minutes North of Louisville, KY, A little over 1 hour South of Indianapolis, IN

Tier I automotive global supplier is searching for a Controls Engineer for gear manufacturing in the Southern IN location.

A leader in automotive transmissions for both passenger and commercial vehicles.

Job Description: This is a First Shift position with overtime as needed.

• Assist with troubleshooting and repair of industrial production equipment

• Perform equipment upgrades that supports improvements to safety, quality and on-time delivery

• Provide controls assistance for current and new product teams

• Working knowledge of AC/DC electrical control and power systems

• Ability to read and utilize electrical and mechanical schematics

• Ability to perform all tasks in accordance with NEC, NFPA 70E and OSHA standards

• Possess proficiency in PLC / HMI programming including: Omron, Mitsubishi and Allen-Bradley

• The ability to maintain and improve all control systems for existing equipment and processes

• Assist with defining and maintaining standards for controls equipment

• Participate in new equipment startup activities

• Experience with integration of robotics and vision systems

Requirements:

• Degree in engineering or engineering technology in a related field; or equivalent work experience.

• 4+ years of experience as a Controls or Automation Engineer.

• PLC, HMI, Robotics programming, project management experience
