The Opportunity
Maitland City Council have an exciting opportunity within the HR team for a temporary Human Resources Assistant! Our Human Resources team have a passion for people and a commitment to making things easy.
This role will see you work with the team to deliver timely, professional and confidential administrative services to the group and the wider Council. In the role you will provide administration support which includes but not limited to, supporting Council’s recruitment, selection and onboarding processes which include reference checking, booking pre-employment medicals and preparing recruitment documentation. You will also assist with the coordination of Council’s training programs, including liaising with training providers, ensuring staff have up to date and maintained training records and organising room set up and catering. You will also undertake general administration support to the Human Resources team.
About you
To hit the ground running as our HR Assistant you will possess a Certificate III in Business Administration and/or strong administrative experience.
To achieve success in this role you will be highly organised, possess excellent communication skills and have an ability to work on multiple tasks and projects at once with competing deadlines.
Benefits
This is a temporary full-time role for a period of twelve-months. This position will work 35 hours per week and attract a salary of $58,899 – $65,378 per year + 10% p.a. super, based on demonstrated skills and experience. You will also be eligible to participate in Council’s Roster Day Off (RDO) scheme.
