About the role
Reporting to the Manager, Governance & Risk and collaborating closely with stakeholders across Council, this role will be a key driver and coordinator of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework including the ERM plan, register, support systems and tests.
This newly created role will act as secretariat for Council’s Audit, Risk and Improvement Committee and support the execution of the annual internal audit program. Working in a leadership capacity, the Coordinator, Risk & Audit will also be responsible for driving a culture of innovation and continuous improvement, and will thrive on the opportunity to mentor, coach, and develop staff.
As Council embraces our Customer Driven Transformation, this is an exciting opportunity to leverage your collaborative and influencing skills in providing high-quality advice and support across Council and providing education and training to stakeholders in relevant legislation, regulation, policies and procedures associated with ERM and audit.
About you
To be successful in this role you will possess relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Accounting, Finance, Audit, or Risk Management and have solid experience and knowledge of internal audit, and/or business continuity, enterprise risk and insurance management functions.
Your demonstrated change and project management skills will allow you to manage competing priorities to meet deadlines, while your interpersonal skills see you forging strong, collaborative working relationships and influencing at all levels of the organization.
In addition to this you will have excellent leadership skills that allow you to lead, coach and support staff to achieve their goals while also ensuring high quality service to internal and external customers.
Benefits
This is a permanent full-time role with a base salary ranging from $104,645- $116,156 per year based on demonstrated competencies + 10% p.a super.
