The Maintenance Manager reports directly to the Facility Manager, and is responsible for the maintenance of all plant equipment and systems at the 720MW 2×1 S/W 501G facility, located in Lebanon, PA. The Maintenance Manager directs her / his workforce to plan, schedule, complete and document all maintenance activities needed to support safe, reliable and efficient plant operations. This position also provides management oversight to maintain an adequate inventory of materials and parts to maintain an optimum level of equipment operability and reliability within plant budgetary constraints.
Job Responsibilities
Manage plant maintenance department consisting of Planner/Scheduler, I&C, Mechanical and Warehouse employees.
Energetically support the Facility Manager and Plant Management staff in plant goals and objectives.
Ensure Safe Work practices and procedures are observed by employees and contractors.
Support Operations team priorities and needs to ensure plant reliability.
Coordinate activities with plant Compliance Manager as needed to maintain compliance regarding environmental issues.
Ensure that required planned and unplanned maintenance activities are completed ensuring industry leading standards of Quality, schedule and ratio.
Develop, oversee and monitor predictive / preventative maintenance program at the plant utilizing the CMMS system.
Develop and implement long-range maintenance planning to assure the reliable and efficient operation of plant equipment.
Direct personnel in the planning and scheduling of maintenance outages, to ensure an accurate scope is identified for each task. Identify materials, tools, equipment, consumables, and support needed to complete work within the outage duration.
Implement standard work management processes and procedures consistent with industry standards.
Manage the specification, procurement, receiving, issuance, and maintenance of an adequate inventory of materials and warehousing to perform plant activities.
Monitor inventory levels to assure an adequate supply of spare parts, equipment and materials are available to support plant maintenance activities.
Develop and maintain a Critical spare parts list to ensure availability of repair parts for critical equipment.
Maintain a productive and motivated staff through sound human resource management.
Ensure work group activities are performed on time and within budget through effective planning, organizing, scheduling, and monitoring of work activities and utilization of resources.
Utilize the CMMS to identify, plan, schedule, track and document all maintenance activities at the plant.
Set high and challenging productivity and quality standards for self and work group; encourage new ideas and work methods to lower costs and progressively increase Safety, Quality and Productivity
Manage represented hourly employees in accordance with the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Promptly and fairly resolve any personnel or work-related problems utilizing the Performance Management program to provide performance feedback to employees.
Provide maintenance staff with well-defined job expectations, ongoing performance feedback and accurate appraisal of performance.
Plan and control maintenance group expenditures to control and optimize costs.
Prepare and update maintenance budget.
Monitor actual budget variances and justifies deviations.
Support Plant and Company goals and programs.
Represent the Plant and Company in a professional and positive manner in all internal and external contacts.
Maintains effective community and public relations image of Owner, Plant and Company.
Required Skills / Knowledge
Knowledge of all facets of power plant maintenance operations.
Superior CMMS, Work Process and Procedural knowledge.
Understanding of NERC, FERC and Environmental requirements needed to operate a power generation facility.
Ability to make competent decisions in emergency situations.
Capable of writing maintenance procedures, work requests, and purchase requisitions.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, electrical one-lines, logic diagrams, technical manuals and reports, and P&ID’s.
Experience and knowledge of contracts, term and conditions.
Superior verbal and written communication skills.
Clearly communicate tasks and needs, and actively train and mentor personnel.

Experience
Large frame gas turbines and combined cycle plant.
A minimum of five years prior Power Plant Maintenance Management experience with direct reports.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline preferred.
