Insight Global is seeking a Maintenance HVAC Technician to support multiple commercial facilities. This role is responsible for operating, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing HVAC/R and building systems while ensuring safe, energy‐efficient operations. The technician will travel between assigned properties, respond to work orders and emergencies, perform inspections and repairs across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems, and maintain accurate documentation using CMMS tools. This position includes use of a company‐provided van, tools, uniform, and work phone. Contract‐to‐hire opportunity with potential for on‐call support once converted to full‐time.

Required Skills & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 4+ years of hands‐on building engineering or maintenance experience with a strong HVAC/R background
• Experience diagnosing and repairing refrigeration systems (walk‐in coolers, freezers, refrigerators)
• Prior experience supporting food or commercial retail environments (e.g., grocery, big‐box, or food service facilities)
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and production equipment repair
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Type II EPA Certification
• Valid license as required by local jurisdiction
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs, work at heights, climb ladders up to 30 feet, and work in extreme temperatures
• Willingness to travel between sites and respond to after‐hours or emergency calls as needed
• Experience updating work orders, submitting receipts, and using CMMS systems (e.g., Corrigo)

Compensation

Flexible around $30 / hour
