We are currently seeking a motivated and results-driven Freight Broker to join our dynamic logistics team. As a Freight Broker, you will play a critical role in connecting shippers and carriers, ensuring the efficient transportation of goods. Your strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and ability to build strong relationships will contribute to the success of our logistics operations.

Responsibilities:

• Source and secure freight from shippers and match it with available carriers.
• Negotiate rates and terms with carriers to maximize profitability and meet customer requirements.
• Coordinate and schedule shipments, ensuring timely pickup and delivery.
• Track and monitor shipments, providing updates to customers and resolving any issues that may arise.
• Develop and maintain relationships with shippers and carriers to foster long-term partnerships.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and regulations affecting freight transportation.
• Utilize transportation management systems and other technology tools to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of shipments, contracts, and transactions.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in logistics or related field is a plus.
• Proven experience as a Freight Broker or in a similar logistics role.
• Strong knowledge of the transportation industry, including regulations, equipment, and market trends.
• Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficiency in using transportation management systems and other logistics software.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong multitasking skills to handle multiple shipments and priorities simultaneously.
• Familiarity with load boards and freight matching platforms.
