Magnus Chess Academy Hiring for Talent Acquisition Associate at Fairfax, VA, USA Full Time

The Talent Acquisition Associate is responsible for the completion of recruitment tasks as assigned by the HR Director for Magnus Chess Academy.

We are looking for a talented person to interview candidates, complete data entry and audits, and bring a passion for hiring to support our amazing team of chess coaches and admin staff that teach chess to nearly 7,000 children each week.

The Talent Acquisition Associate role is a full-time position that is primarily work-from-home. There is some in-person work in our Fairfax, Virginia headquarters and in other locations around the Washington, DC area.

This job is ideal for someone who has some of the following :

• Experience interviewing candidates
• Ability to quickly learn relevant software tools including an applicant tracking system
• Excellent grammar and written skills
• The ability to work independently with strong support and tools and without micromanagement.
• If you’ve got experience with any kind of public speaking, that will come in handy as well!

Job duties include :

• Conduct phone screens
• Communicate with job applicants via phone, email, and text
• Help conduct in-person group interviews
• Attend in-person training sessions for new hires where you will aid with responsibilities like completing HR paperwork such as I9s
• Maintain detailed records of interactions with applicants ensuring all relevant details are accurately logged in applicable software
• Attend in-person and virtual job fairs
• We’re a small HR team, so your job will undoubtedly include learning & helping with other aspects of HR : payroll, onboarding, training, compliance, software / database management, and more!

Benefits :

Starting salary range of $45,000 to $50,000, commensurate with experience

This job is primarily work from home. Approximately one to two days per week, you will come assist at either a staff training or a group interview.

The majority of these are located in Fairfax, Virginia. Periodic meetings may take place in Maryland. Some training sessions take place on weekends.
