This position includes all responsibilities for Cost Accounting in a computerized and fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role p rovides leadership for the Finance Department, and the ideal candidate will have e xcellent verbal and written communication skills, g ood mathematical, analytical and organizational skills, and will be a ble to work in various locations within and outside the plant. Key Qualifications/Requirements

University Degree/College Diploma and currently enrolled in the senior level of a recognized accounting designation program CPA .

5+ years practical accounting experience in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities

Ensure that plant monthly and yearly costing and operating results are prepared in a timely manner in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.

Provide plant management with analysis and interpretation of financial data deemed necessary to support the plant.

Development and implementation of policies, procedures and processes for product, stores and program costing, as required (Activity Based Costing, new system).

Maintain current product costing, including engineering changes, productivity improvements and profit enhancement programs.

Develop analytical information on production and program costing as required.

Develop new program costing in conjunction with Sales, Engineering, Purchasing and Production departments.

Administer and maintain all bill of material and overhead routings.

Administer all financial records relating to production, stores and program inventories.

Cost maintenance of purchased steel components, subassemblies and final assemblies.

Assist in preparing annual manufacturing and departmental budgets and provide sales prices and costing for the 7-year Financial Plan.

Maintain General Ledger and Local Financial Statements.

Assist in the preparation of the annual audit file required for the year-end audit.

Adhere to reporting deadlines as established by corporate offices .

Coordinate with Production Control any audited inventory count requirements. Additional Information

Must be able to work in various locations within and outside the Manufacturing Plant.

Must be able to work outside of normal office hours to meet needs of assigned departments of responsibility.

Exposed periodically to elements such as temperature and noise.

Office environment within a manufacturing operation.
