Qualifications
Previous experience in a manufacturing environment.
Background in manufacturing with press experience including quality and safety initiatives
Must hold a valid counter-balance forklift certificate/OH Crane Train Certificate
Must have valid Maple Stamping LOTO certification
1 year related experience
Physically capable of performing essential duties of the job
Working knowledge of the English language both written and oral. Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for the coordinated movement of all dies and materials and or items required, to ensure the most efficient flow of production as well as ensuring load / containers etc. are balanced and secure before moving:
Pre staging dies/check fixtures/material according to die setup procedure
Load coils and assist operators in starting coils according to die setup procedure
Accurately completes all paperwork as required including Pre Shift Crane Inspection and Pre Shift Forklift Inspection forms
Assist operators in performing Pre Shift Press Safety Inspection ensuring compliance with all required Health and Safety procedures and provide relief on machines for operators when required
Periodic maintenance on dies including change external date stamp, replace nitro bottles, mix and refill lube main tanks and small tanks on presses.
Serve as a backup Team Leader when required Core Competencies
Demonstrates clear and respectful communication skills in all situations.
Must be able to prioritize and perform multiple tasks and function in stressful situations.
Must have strong organizational and communication skills.
Understands the key processes and systems within the organization related to their work flow ensuring work flow is conducted efficiently while consistently seeking ways to improve outcomes and enhance results. Working Conditions
Works under general supervision of Group Leader or Designee.
Wears all PPE including company provided uniforms.
Required to carry out routine, repetitive tasks such as reaching, pushing, pulling, standing, walking, lifting, packing, stacking and bending.
Regularly exposed to noise, temperature change and on occasion lubricants.
Works rotating shift and/or midnight shift with occasional overtime if Customer requirements.
