Are you an efficient and organised individual? We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our team in Balmain, NSW.
This position offers the successful candidate the ability to learn, to be proactive and to work in a team to achieve results. The successful candidate will assist the finance team with duties including month end accounting, reconciliations and financial reporting.

Key responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include but will not be limited to:
- Assisting with month end accounting including posting journal entries
- Preparation and submission of monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations and internal controls compliance
- Assistance during the group and statutory audits
- Support Treasury department including preparation and management of bank guarantees and manage bank authority
- Assisting with uploading monthly results into the Group Hyperion Reporting System (Onestream)
- Support with the review of BAS returns, FBT working files and PNG tax forms prepared by the Global Shared Services (GSC)
We are looking for
To be considered for this role you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline
- Previous 1- 2 years accounting experience
- Excellent communication skills
- High level of capability with Microsoft Excel
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise work
