Madden Industrial Craftsmen Hiring for Shipyard Industrial Laborer Full Time

Madden Industrial Craftsmen is looking to fill a Industrial Laborers that can do work at the shipyards in N. Portland, Oregon. The shift is 5:00am-2:30pm (must have your own transportation as mass transit is not accessible). Will be moving materials, scraping paint, operating power washer, painting, laying flooring down.

Responsibility:

• Responsible removing old ship flooring on decks.
• Using manual and power tools.
• Operating a power washer.
• Stripping paint.
• Masking and prepping for paint to be applied.
• Move materials, clean up, disposal, and other laborer duties.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to operate hand and power tools safely.
• Must be able and willing to work in confined spaces, at elevated heights, and follow/incorporate industry and company policies for safety compliance.
• Must be able to wear fresh-air respirator, filtered respirator, blast helmet respiration, and pass health exam to support the above.
• Ability to set-up/pressure wash a flat surface

Requires:

• Must pass a drug screen (THC tested)
• Must be able to pass a respirator fit test
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs.
• Able to work in confined spaces and heights.
• Able to work in outdoor elements.

Shift:

• Monday – Friday, 5:00am – 2:30pm – must have your own transportation there is no bus/max at this start time.
• OT opportunities based on work load
