Position Summary

We are actively seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will play a key part in planning, coordinating, and executing transportation and distribution activities.

Working closely with senior logistics professionals, you will gain a deep understanding of the logistics industry while contributing to the seamless flow of goods.

This position requires strong interpersonal skills, the ability to work both independently and within a team, and excellent communication skills (both oral and written) to build relationships across departments at all levels.

Essential Duties and responsibilities

• Managing the transportation of goods from one location to another, including customers’ DCs, contractors, warehouses, 3PL providers, and direct-to-store locations, both domestically and internationally.
• Generating and distributing documents and labels to multiple shipping warehouses.
• Communicating with various departments and customers regarding shipping timelines, delays, tracking orders, and confirming deliveries.
• Clearly communicating shipping dates and any potential delays to all involved parties.
• Independently managing customer accounts assigned to you.
• Managing freight costs when booking prepaid shipments, always considering the correlation between freight costs and company expenses.
• Demonstrating strong organizational and communication skills, assertiveness, and the ability to work independently.
• Undertaking additional duties as assigned by the Logistics Manager as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

• Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and proactive with strong critical thinking skills.
• A minimum of 2 year of experience in logistics or similar related work.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment while effectively delegating tasks.
• Intermediate to Advanced Excel knowledge.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Knowledge of warehouse flow and inventory reconciliation practices.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, performance-based environment.
• Preferred : Knowledge of production and wholesale business operations.

Working conditions

The environment can be fast-paced and requires the ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks to meet various deadlines. Although it is a casual work environment, professionalism and proper work etiquette are expected.

Physical / Mental Requirements

This position is mostly stationary. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop. The employee must be able to lift and / or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 25 pounds.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus to accommodate frequent reading and analyzing details on various spreadsheets and templates.

The person in this position frequently communicates with various other departments and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

High levels of problem-solving analytical thinking and interpreting data are required daily in order to make the appropriate decisions in each scenario.
