Macquarie University Hospital Hiring for Revenue Operations Analyst Job at New South Wales Full Time

THE ROLE

MQ Health is experiencing an experienced Revenue Operations Analyst to join the team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will support the provision of full cycle revenue operations with emphasis on systems data and configuration. The successful candidate will provide support to management of billing backlog and debtors through systems support and configuration.

Key Accountabilities include (not limited to):

Business Reporting

• Design and implement Power BI reporting solutions across MQ Health to meet business requirements.
• Collaborate with IT and BIR team to migrate Power BI reports to other environments as required.
• On request provide advice to the finance team on clinics reporting and assistance with any BI reporting projects where appropriate.

Debtors management

• Reporting and analysis of bad debt provisions and write offs across MQ Health Business Units (Clinics, Hospital and Commercial Debtors)
• Monitor and report on MQ Health Business Units debtors aging and collections performance.
• Provide advice to relevant managers on billings and collection.
• Assist in resolving billing and system related issues in collaboration with Finance, IT, Medicare and other Funders.

System configuration

• Maintain Clinic Billing systems with MBS, DVA, AHSA, Work Cover and health fund gap scheme changes and cascade down important information to the Practice Managers.
• Initiate and lead system configuration projects to update the system in accordance with major changes to MBS items, health fund gap schemes, prostheses list prices and health fund contracts.
• Assist managers with system related issues by being the initial point of contact and raising a ticket to IT where required.

General duties

• Build professional working relationships with the stakeholders to support the efficient and effective operation of the billing process, systems and reporting.
• Perform any other duties as required and appropriate to the scope of the role
• Comply with relevant policies and procedures including WHS regulations.

• Hold a Degree Qualification in Information Systems, Finance, or a related discipline AND/OR substantive experience in a similar role.
• Demonstrated experience in analysis and reporting in accounts receivable area, preferably within private hospital billing
• Working knowledge of current financial and accounting applications, systems, and procedures
• Well-developed analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a wide range of stakeholders, preferably health professionals.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Advanced Microsoft VISIO, Access and Excel skills including VBA
• Advanced Power BI knowledge and applications
• Understanding of SQL language, Relational Database, Data Modelling & Schema.
