• Salary Package: From $97,783 to $106,018 (HEW Level 7), plus 17% employer’s superannuation and annual leave loading.
• Appointment Type: Full time, fixed-term until April 2022
• Location: Macquarie University, North Ryde

THE ROLE

Macquarie University Finance Shared Services is seeking a suitably qualified and experienced Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst to join the Revenue Services team to provide critical support with student ledger reporting and analysis, as well as identifying potential opportunities for process and system efficiencies.

Reporting to the Revenue Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Preparation of monthly management reports and analyses in relation to debts and transactions
• Work closely with the Revenue Services and other teams to document existing processes, to identify the opportunity to create efficiencies and improvements
• Support the redesign and implementation of the new debt management processes and liaise with the relevant IT teams (e.g., Systems/Business Intelligence) to enhance efficiencies
• Develop and maintain stakeholder relationships within Finance and throughout the University

About You

You will have a strong background in analysing, manipulating and summarising large volumes of data in a robust and controlled manner

Proven track record in the identification of solutions, in process and systems, to create efficiencies and improved capabilities

You will have a strong solution focussed approach with the ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You are quality-focussed, highly organised, resilient and a team player.

You will enjoy involvement in process improvement initiatives, providing constructive insight and possible alternative approaches in relation to day-to-day procedures, system functionality and service efficiencies.

Demonstrated experience delivering quality reporting including the use of Power BI and Calumo

Advanced knowledge of excel

Strong experience working with large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (preferably Technology One with a knowledge of Student and Finance One)

• Degree in accounting, finance
• Significant experience (typically 5+ years) in accounting, finance, or equivalent
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (particularly Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint)
• Strong experience in analysing, manipulating and summarising large volumes of data in a robust and controlled manner
• Strong experience working with large Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems (preferably TechnologyOne)
• Strong experience in process and system improvement initiatives
• Knowledge of Accounts Receivable functions and systems
