Macquarie Group Limited Hiring for Associate, Finance and Accounting Job at New York, NY Full Time

Grow your career within our Wealth Solutions team in New York as an Associate. Be a proactive team member partnering with the finance team, compliance, legal, and fund administrators to deliver client focused solutions. The team provides oversight for the finance/accounting that supports the creation, distribution, and servicing of Alternative Investment products to our distribution partners with a strong focus on risk and controls while navigating a dynamic environment.

You will:

• Assist in the oversight of the external service providers, including review of financial reporting
• Prepare various quarterly fund financial reporting, including financial statements, capital statements, and partner reporting
• Ensure the integrity and completeness of financial records through review of transaction processing, and bank reconciliations, adhering to the established processes and policies
• Actively participate in the annual financial statement audit process, including interaction with external auditors
• Support in the preparation and coordination of fund capital call and distribution process
• Provide general accounting support, and help with corporate reporting, where needed.
• Research and resolve technical accounting issues

Your skills and experience will include:

• BS or MS in Accounting or equivalent, CPA preferred but not required
• 2+ years practical working experience in accounting required, mix of public accounting and private sector accounting preferred
• Significant experience utilizing Microsoft Excel; Investran and eFront experience a plus
• Strong and effective communication skills
• Experience in alternative financial services and private equity structures preferred
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and exposure to investment accounting
• Self-starter, strong organization skills and detail oriented
• Highly motivated with ability to work autonomously, while exercising skill, care, and diligence in all aspects of the work environment.
