Job Summary

The Director of Operations will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the operational activities within the building materials industry. Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning:
• Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance overall operational efficiency and effectiveness.
• Collaborate with executive leadership to align operational goals with the company’s overall objectives.
• Process Optimization:
• Evaluate and refine operational processes to maximize efficiency and reduce costs.
• Implement best practices and continuous improvement initiatives to drive operational excellence.
• Team Leadership:
• Lead and inspire a cross-functional operations team, providing guidance and support to ensure a high level of performance.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation within the operations department.
• Supply Chain Management:
• Oversee the supply chain process, from procurement to delivery, ensuring timely and cost-effective sourcing of raw materials and distribution of finished products.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and logistics partners.
• Quality Control:
• Implement and maintain quality control measures to ensure that products meet or exceed industry standards.
• Work closely with the quality assurance team to address and resolve any issues related to product quality.
• Cost Management:
• Develop and manage budgets for the operations department, identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
• Monitor and analyze key performance indicators to drive cost-effective decision-making.
• Regulatory Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and other relevant requirements.
• Stay abreast of changes in regulations and implement necessary adjustments to maintain compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
• Proven experience in operations management within the building materials industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• In-depth knowledge of supply chain management, logistics, and quality control.
• Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance requirements.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
