Machine Mart Hiring for HR Officer at Nottingham Full Time

As HR Officer you will operate in a generalist role, providing end to end support across the employee life-cycle. This is a truly varied role which combines operational HR case management with all aspects of recruitment including on-boarding and the opportunity to work on various strategic projects.

Duties will include:
Proactively manage both formal and informal ER cases and work collaboratively to provide support up to final warning levels

Respond to HR related queries as a first line advisor to managers across the organisation, delivering advice on employment law, policies and practises

Supporting department heads and recruiting managers with all aspects of recruitment, to provide a great candidate experience through from initial vacancy to on-boarding

Organise and manage new starter inductions at Head Office

Assist with delivery of training programmes, including reproduction of course material

Support line managers to effectively progress issues such as absence management

Travel to other sites and occasional overnight stays (currently limited)

Working closely with the HR Manager on various projects around improvement of HR service

The ideal candidate will have/be:
An experienced HR administrator or HR Assistant

Ability to communicate and engage with people across all levels

Confident in handling ER queries

Have an awareness of employment law

Well versed with MS Applications including Excel

Prepared to travel

CIPD level 3 qualified or working towards or equivalent experience
