Machine Labs Hiring for Full Stack Software Engineer Job at Edinburgh, Scotland Full Time

Role

We’re looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer to work on our application, the backend is written using AWS serverless technology (Lambda, SQS, ECS) and a Postgres database and exposing a GraphQL API The main app frontend is written as a Vue.js SPA which consumes the backend.

This role reports to the CTO.

Skills and Experience

We understand that most candidates are likely to be stronger on either the backend or the frontend. Providing you are expert in one area we are happy if you have much less experience in the other.

For the frontend development we need experience of HTML5, CSS and JavaScript. Previous experience with Vue.js or React would be helpful

For the backend development we need JavaScript/TypeScript and database experience. It’d be great if you have understanding of AWS, scaling, writing and consuming APIs, GraphQL and automated testing .

Salary and Benefits

Salary is competitive, depending on experience. Benefits include a pension, flexible working and a MacBook with as many external monitors as you wish. Stock options are available under the company’s Enterprise Management Incentives scheme.
