We are searching for enthusiastic, hardworking and friendly individuals to play a vital role in delivering an outstanding experience to all our guests in the role of Room Attendant.

Macdonald Manchester Hotel, set in the heart of Cottonopolis, is Manchester’s largest four-star hotel with 338 bedrooms including 18 suites.

We are looking for Room Attendants who are looking for contracts from 16-40 hours per week.

We are paying £10.25 per hour to start, with the opportunity to earn £11.25 per hour as a self checker.

As a Room Attendant we see you as a real ambassador of our company, operating on the front line with an organised, proactive approach and a meticulous eye for detail. You enjoy being part of a busy team but also have the drive to work on your own initiative, always keen to deliver the highest standards and exceed our guests’ expectations.

As a Room Attendant in our large Housekeeping team, you will have the opportunity to learn about the broader operations of the hotel, as well as making friendships and building a network of colleagues.

What will you be doing?

• Clean and prepare all assigned areas to the highest standards, including guest bedrooms and public areas
• Replenishing linen and guest supplies
• Stripping and making beds
• Maintain a safe and clean environment, adhering to all health and safety requirements and security procedures
• Ensure that all storage areas are kept clean, tidy and restocked
• Undertake deep cleaning tasks when required

What do we need from you?

• A minimum of one year work experience in a cleaning role strongly preferred
• To be self-motivated as you will be working mainly alone in guest bedrooms
• Take responsibility for understanding our products and services
• Proactively look for ways to improve or enhance the guest experience
• We are open 7 days a week, 365 days a year so we need you to be flexible with shift patterns and available around the needs of our business
