PURPOSE and SCOPE

Interpret and process engineering change notices into JD Edwards. This role is expected to provide guidance and coaching to the PDM Specialist.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The following are the main job responsibilities and priorities for this position:

• Conduct scheduled audits of the Bill of Materials, routings, and operation sequencing.
• Analyze weekly PDM Integrity reports, correct data as required, and determine solutions to prevent recurring issues.
• Create and update work instructions covering PDM processes including the PDM data entry guide (field guide).
• Support Design Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing Engineering and Production in understanding ERP/MRP data.
• Support IT with mass updates in the ERP/MRP system.
• Troubleshoot ERP/MRP data related problems.
• Lead and support continuous improvement projects for PDM and CM processes.
• Provide technical guidance to PDM Specialists.
• Other duties as assigned.

Interpret and process engineering change notices (ECN) into JD Edwards (JDE): Interpret engineering Bill of Materials (eBOM) and convert to the manufacturing Bill of Materials (mBOM).

• Create Revision A part numbers and handle revision control in JDE.
• Communicate ECN mBOM effectivity and dispositions to affected areas.
• Prepare reports for pending data required to complete processing of an ECN.
• Finalize ECN release to the company once all required data is entered and verified.
• Create Engineering Change Requests to address errors in engineering configuration documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience

• Minimum two to three years’ experience in a related role
• Experience working in a Manufacturing environment
• ERP/MRP experience (JD Edwards preferred)
• Experience entering and maintaining mBOMs in an ERP system
