Teacher Job Description

Macbeth Academy teachers provide private distance learning for students in Grades K-12 all over the world.

Our curriculum emphasizes the importance of student participation and engagement to ensure the highest levels of success. Our students are advanced and gifted learners that need high levels of teacher and parent support. Our private “micro-classroom” allows for creativity and the incorporation of innovative education technology into every lesson.

ALL MACBETH ACADEMY TEACHERS ARE CERTIFIED TEACHERS (MD AND PA) WITH

• Elementary and/or Secondary teaching experience (3-5 years)

• Online teaching experience (3-5 years) (lesson plan creation and execution)

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Excellent classroom control experience is a plus

• High levels of technological literacy (G Suite, SMS, LMS, etc)

JOB DESCRIPTION

Teachers are responsible for instructing our students in a private lesson setting. Teachers are expected to deliver California Common Core State Standards-aligned lessons. Also, teachers are encouraged to teach using the Flipped Classroom method to ensure the highest levels of student engagement. Teachers are expected to learn and adapt to cutting edge education technology to enhance student learning and assessment.

All Teachers Must:

Must be legally authorized to work and live in the U.S.

Must pass a State and Federal Criminal Background Check

Must hold a current and up-to-date Pennsylvania teacher certification
