Macarthur Anglican School Hiring for Kindergarten to Year 6 Teacher Job at Cobbitty Full Time

Macarthur is an independent Anglican co-educational Transition to Year 12 school with a strong academic and co-curricular focus catering for students of all ability levels. It is located in picturesque Cobbitty on over 85 magnificent acres, 50 minutes from the CBDs of Sydney and Wollongong. Due to the ongoing expansion of the Junior School (Transition to Year 4) and the Middle School (Year 5 to Year 9), the Headmaster is seeking to appoint several appropriately qualified and experienced Christian educators to both full-time and part-time permanent positions. The successful candidates will join the highly professional, dynamic and industrious Junior School and or early Middle School teams. A willingness to teach across Early Stage 1 to Stage 3 is a distinct advantage.

Candidates for these roles will be required to demonstrate:

• a passion for teaching and deep knowledge of the various syllabus documents K-6;
• an understanding of and commitment to student wellbeing;
• well-developed written, oral and organisational skills;
• an innovative approach to teaching and learning;
• a comprehensive understanding of classroom differentiation;
• a commitment to detailed and timely feedback to students; and,
• a deep understanding of how students think and learn.

The successful candidate will also need to demonstrate innovative use of ICT in teaching and learning, proficiency in writing teaching programmes, and understanding best practices in student assessment and feedback. The desire to contribute to the outdoor education and co-curricular programmes that provide a rich experience for our students and a rewarding sense of job satisfaction for our teachers is imperative.
