Who we are:

Macaloney’s Island Distillery and Twa Dogs Brewery, owned and operated by Macaloney Brewers & Distillers Ltd, is a rapidly growing 50 HL production brewery, single malt whisky distillery (5500L & 3600L Forsyth’s stills), and tourist destination, located just minutes from downtown Victoria.

Over 700 investors have come together to fund this local venture which is producing ‘Worlds Best’ and ‘Canadian Best’ premium quality single malt whiskies and excellent craft beer. Our Twa Dogs craft beer range is distributed regionally, our single malt whiskies will be exported to over 30 countries, and between 50,000 – 100,000 tourists are ultimately expected to visit our brewery-distillery every year.

Position Description

ing to the Packaging Manager, is a full-time permanent role based at Macaloney’s Island Distillery and Twa Dogs Brewery, located at 761 Enterprise Crescent in Victoria, BC. This position plays a key role in within the packaging team driving our regular warehousing/inventory processes and supporting the Packaging Manager. The ideal candidate will be a self-motivated team player who possesses strong attention to detail, and a team first attitude who can contributed to the continuous improvement our processes.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE INCLUDE

• Labelling, capping, and boxing whiskies.
• Managing all inventory within the warehouse on a daily basis
• Assembly of Local and International shipments for whisky and beer
• Keeping the warehouse clean and organized
• Assist management in enforcing packaging processes.
• Enhance and evolve processes and internal controls to meet the growth of the business.
• Participate in internal and external audit functions
• Assisting with whisky bottling when needed
• Ensuring implementation of QC standards of packaging.
• Other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Previous packaging/warehousing experience will be considered an asset
• Valid BC Drivers License
• Must be physically able to lift 20-50 lbs.
• Experience with excel an asset.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to details
• Demonstrates a sense of urgency and a strong commitment to achieving goals.
• Detailed oriented and have the ability work independently.
• Flexible on work hours and weekend availability when needed

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $18.00-$20.00 per hour
