The Position


Maali Group is seeking a highly motivated Talent Acquisition Lead that will own the end-to-end recruitment and selection process, develop recruitment strategies, and support the full HR function of Maali Group employees.

Our Ideal Candidate Is:

• Understands your time will be contributed to 80% end to end daily recruitment function and 20% human resource function
• Able to commit to full-time hours based in our CBD office between 8:00 am to 4:30 pm – Elizabeth Quay train station is a 5 min walk to the office
• Assume responsibility for generalist HR activities such as providing administrative support, training requirements of new employees, advising Maali Group on policies and procedures, investigation assistance, and reporting and analysis
• In this position, you will be provided a high focus on recruitment with tasks such as designing, executing, and being the lead on specific recruitment activities
• You will have confidence in your own ability and show grit when the pressure is on in a fast-paced environment
• Able to quickly establish rapport with Area Managers and a unique ability to understand what key stakeholders need you to execute and diligent in providing reports on outcomes
• Capable of working without supervision and maintaining the confidentiality
• Experience managing and mentoring direct reports
• Sourcing key roles supporting resources, energy, and infrastructure projects
• Have experience using a recruitment and screening database (Job Adder experience will be a distinct advantage)
• You enjoy talking on the phone for the most part of your role and forging long-lasting relationships with candidates
• Genuinely enjoy networking and creating relationships with candidates

Essential Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years experience in recruiting and working as an HR support
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline or working towards obtaining
• Assist management with advice on HR policy, processes, and workplace issues
• Provide support in ER case management processes and interpretation of modern award and enterprise agreements
• Draft letters as required including employment confirmation letters, additional/higher duties, jury excusal, salary increase letters, variation to contracts
• As required, prepare, and send employment packs including the offer of employment letters, common law contracts, enterprise agreements, and other relevant documentation
• Experience managing the end-to-end recruitment process and successful handovers to mobilization
• Excellent verbal and written communication with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adaptable to change as priorities require
• You must be able to work autonomously and as a positive member of a team
• Efficient timekeeping and ability to multitask
• Proficient working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, in particular Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and experience in HRMS and contemporary social media applications
• Able to provide weekly reporting to stakeholders on progress

Highly Regarded:

• A qualification in Human Resources Cert III or IV
• Experience working in a civil, infrastructure, or mining sector
• Previous experience using Job Adder
