As an Internal Quality Engineer, your role is to ensure the smooth operation of the machining and assembly process by providing first-line support for quality-related issues. You will be responsible for various tasks to maintain and improve product quality while adhering to the ISO 9001 system standards. You play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of product quality, continuous improvement, and customer satisfaction.

We are looking for candidates who can work 1st or 2nd shift.

Job Responsibilities:

• Collect data on quality verification systems, Investigate the root causes of quality issues,
• Escalate critical issues that could impact the fit, form, and function of the product, and
• Determine the appropriate disposition of identified issues, such as sorting, using as is, returning to the supplier, or shutting down production.

• Review and investigate quality issues ed through the IR system.
• Issue Corrective Action Requests (CAR) when necessary.
• Recommend deviations from the IR system if appropriate.
• Update and distribute notices through the IR system.
• Distribute and follow up on corrective actions, recording information in the database.
• Validate the proper functioning of error-proofing devices (Poke Yoke) and any issues through the IR systems
• Conduct CPK studies to validate process changes and upper case inspection of suppliers.
• Review the daily parts-per-million (PPM)
• Perform dimensional and visual verification of suspect parts.
• Identify failed parts through quality analysis and record the information in the IR system & Assist in receiving inspection activities as needed.
• Facilitate effective communication between shifts for a smooth transition.
• Support the evaluation and investigation of warranty and OEM line rejects.
• Assist in the evaluation and investigation of supplier quality projects.
• Monitor production for new tier two parts.
• Investigate and evaluate line repairs, warranty claims, and OEM line rejects to identify opportunities for process improvement or product design changes.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• 4-year degree in Engineering
• 2 – 5 years of quality experience in a manufacturing environment
• Travel to customers as required to address quality issues
• Ability to read prints
• Flexibility with schedule and travel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $70,000.00 per year
