POSITION SUMMARY

We are looking for a Senior Accountant to help us ensure our financial standing and to support our new growth strategy. If you want to work with our senior leadership team to take our accounting and finance practices to the next level, are a self-starter with lots of ideas and are looking to grow your career, this may be the right opportunity for you.

As Senior Accountant you will ensure accurate and timely month/quarter/year-end close schedules are met, prepare account reconciliations, produce financial reports, and partner with leaders and team members to establish processes that meet LynnCo’s needs.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

More specifically, you’ll get to:

• Lead the month-end close process
• Manage fixed asset additions/disposals
• Lead team projects
• Prepare and review monthly account reconciliations
• Support or prepare Franchise, Income and Property tax filings
• Prepare monthly analysis for actual vs budget variances
• Participate in the annual and periodic budget development
• Work with Department Leads on department reporting and variance exlpanations
• Develop and document SOPs for the Accounting Team
• Serve as backup support for other team members through cross training (AP/AR/Payroll/Billing)
• General Ledger and other transaction postings as required

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

Non-negotiable requirements:

• Be a good person, a team player with a strong work ethic and a “can do” attitude with a strong willingness to go the extra mile (or hour) if needed
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related program
• CPA
• Strong knowledge/experience with US GAAP
• Combination of experience working in private and public (doesn’t have to be “big 4”) accounting
• Strong understanding of AR/AP/GL concepts and how they are related in financials
• Experience preparing GL account reconciliations
• Exposure to or experience with financial statement preparation and presentation
• Experience with month-end close schedules
• Strong Excel abilities including pivot tables and formulas
• Comfort working in a variety of computer systems and the ability to learn software quickly
• Have very good communication skills and the ability to work effectively both on a team and individually.
• Desire to cross train and learn different areas to contribute to the growth of the Accounting/Finance department
• Highly organized, ability to manage several tasks/projects at once.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a drive to make process improvements and efficiencies

• Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 – $95,000.00 per year
