Lyneer Staffing Solutions Hiring for Human Resources Generalist – Law Firm Job at Washington, DC Full Time

Our client, a prestigious national DC law firm has an exciting new position for a Human Resource Generalist in their Washington, DC office. In this role you will be reporting to the Human Resources Director and Benefits Manager, the HR Generalist will be responsible for performing functions involving the full life-cycle of human resources including but not limited to talent acquisition, onboarding, performance management, benefits and compensation administration, and enforcing the firm’s policies and procedures. $100k /year + excellent benefits

This position will share supervisory responsibility for the HR Coordinator.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee maintenance of HRIS system, create, customize and maintain reports as necessary.
• Draft and revise job descriptions as necessary; participate in interviewing process and background checking process as necessary.
• Handle employment related inquiries from applicants, employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.
• Advise attorneys, managers and professional staff on internal HR policies and procedures as necessary.
• Maintain confidential information with appropriate care and professionalism.
• Recommend new approaches, processes and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed.
• Collaborate with National HR, Office Administrators and other managers to review and revise current onboarding documents and orientation program for new hires as necessary.
• Assist in annual performance evaluation process by laying out the evaluation timeline, tracking evaluations, and ensuring that feedback is received by all supervising attorneys and managers. Review summary evaluations.
• Assist Benefits Manager with the annual open enrollments and administration of leaves of absence.
• Manage the reconciliation of monthly invoices ADP Workforce Now and benefits plan invoices.
• Report and provide data to Director of Human Resources, Director BD and Communications, Director of Attorney Recruiting and Development, and Diversity Equity and Inclusion Coordinator as needed.
• Provide data for firm-wide surveys.
• Manage internal Intranet HR page and postings.
• Conducts research projects as assigned.
• Participate in developing department goals, objectives and systems.

Qualifications:

• MUST HAVE ADP workforce Now
• Bachelor’s degree and at least five (5) years of Human Resources experience, preferably in a law firm or other comparable experience and education.
• Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills, organizational skills
• Must have the ability to use sound judgment and juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 per year
