Lyncwork Hiring for Junior UI/UX Designer at Toronto, ON Full Time

As Junior UI/UX Designer you will join an exciting startup in early growth stages with an opportunity to experience all aspects of a multi-tenant SaaS product lifecycle. The learning experience will be unmatched working with the latest enterprise technologies and growth opportunities will be in front of you at all times as you work closely with seasoned software startup professionals.

In this role, reporting to the Chief Product Officer, you will be able to exercise your design muscle and bring your own flavor to designing the Lyncwork experience. Working closely with the product manager and development team, you will be expected to create compelling and optimal user interaction workflows as well as bring the application to life with exciting visual designs.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with product team on bringing product vision to life, from conception to execution

Breakdown/re-define/enhance complex requirements to create simplified user experiences in cross platform environment

Work with existing UX design, visual design, and product management teams to define/refine visual and UX design language for Android, iOS, and web applications

Participate in concept creation via wireframes, user flows, sitemaps & prototypes

Translate wireframe concepts into visual mock-ups by applying best UI design patterns and standards

Develop and maintain pixel-perfect visual design specs and redline comps for Android, iOS and web products

Create visual design guides/specs and assets for development and partner with the team on implementation

Iterate quickly in a fast-paced development

Researching interaction design and technology trends

Skills and Qualifications

1+ years of user experience design experience for software, Web applications which leverage emergent technologies, consumer electronics and/or mobile devices

Experience with user interface design patterns and standard UCD methodologies

Good conceptualization ability, strong visual communication ability, drawing skills and sketchbook technique

Ability to work in small teams in an agile development environment

Good communication and debate skills to defend UI decisions

Ability to create wireframes as well as visual design comps

BA/BS degree in Design (e.g., interaction, graphic, visual communications, product, industrial), HCI, or a related field or equivalent practical experience.

Core design skills; ability to establish visual hierarchy, layout, typography, and color effectively.

Nice to Have:
Ability to drive immersive user research, concept testing, and usability testing.

Manage and create rapid prototypes that will internally validate concepts and features before committing to projects, designs and budgets.

Experience with interactive UI prototyping (using Invision or similar tools)

Fluent in Xcode, HTML(5), CSS, JavaScript
