Today, the average pet only reaches 37% of their full potential lifespan — the oldest dogs live to 30+ years old, the average dog passes away at only 11 years old 🙁 — and statistics have shown us that most suffer from dental disease, cancer, and obesity. Who you are?

Lyka is actively seeking a skilled Talent Acquisition Manager to join our small but dynamic team and play a vital role in supporting the growth and development of our most valuable assets – our people. In this position, you will be responsible for building our team across different departments and driving our talent acquisition processes to provide a exceptional candidate and hiring manage experience.

What you will do?

• Proactively identify and engage with top talent for priority roles through various channels such as LinkedIn, Community Groups, event pages, Github, and other creative avenues to attract world-class individuals to join Lyka.
• Manage the end-to-end candidate journey, ensuring timely feedback, excellent communication, and clarity throughout the recruitment process.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to leadership and hiring managers, providing guidance on best practices for hiring.
• Utilise data and metrics to track and measure success and pivot search strategies as needed to achieve desired outcomes.
• Stay current on market and industry trends by actively participating in communities, attending events, and contributing to the ecosystem.
• Conduct training and workshops to support the broader hiring team in best practices for our interviewing process and standards.
• Serve as an advocate for Lyka’s values, consistently living and working in accordance with our principles in the workplace.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in a high-growth startup environment, with a track record (ideally 3+ years) of successful hiring across diverse departments such as software engineering, marketing, and product management.
• Familiarity with Applicant Tracking System (ATS) tools such as Workable, Lever, or Greenhouse (we use Workable!).
• Strong proficiency in using tools like LinkedIn and LinkedIn Recruiter to search for talent and gain market insights.
• Comfortable and effective in communicating and collaborating with key stakeholders at all levels to provide support and advice on all aspects of the hiring process.
• Ability to identify process gaps and implement automation or efficiency improvements to support Lyka’s ongoing growth.
• Experience with stakeholder updates and ing to provide visibility and insights into recruiting efforts across the business.
• Self-motivated and proactive in bringing a problem-solving approach to address challenges.
• Human-centric approach, recognizing the importance of care, empathy, and support when dealing with candidates and hiring stakeholders.
• Love for dogs (a must, of course!)
