Qualifications
AAS Degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development or closely related field; BS Degree preferable

• Three years’ experience in Infant/Toddler Child Care with the knowledge of the principles of child health, safety, and nutrition, adult learning and family dynamics
• Experience in instructing adults
• Candidate with Fluency (Read, Write, Speak) in English/Spanish *Preferred

Responsibilities/Duties
Providing support services in the Early Head Start (EHS) Home Visiting Program as a Home Visitor.
To provide early, continuous, intensive and comprehensive child development services to children, birth to age three that honor their unique characteristics enhancing their physical, social, emotional and intellectual development. Provide family support services and link families with appropriate agencies and services that enable parents to fulfill their roles as parents and to move toward self-sufficiency. $1,000 Sign-On Bonus – $500 payout will be paid upon successful completion of the first 90 days; $500 payout after 1 year of service

Terms of Employment
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT – Luzerne County Head Start, Inc. requires staff to possess current, valid Background Clearances (3) and to be Fully Vaccinated against COVID-19. Proof of vaccination for COVID-19 will be required unless exempted by federal, state or local laws
Position will require record check approval of driving record by LCHS Insurance Provider, as this position is considered a designated position requiring driving as an essential job function

• Full Time/Full Year positions, 37.5 hrs/wk
• Rate of Pay: $ 19.90/hr Base Salary; Eligible for Overtime pay
• Additional pay for BS degree
• Bilingual Abilities Preferred (Eng/Spanish) – 5% pay increase
